Rihanna: 'Lil Kim Has Pushed The Limits Like No Other Black Artist'

Weeks after Beyoncé paid homage to Lil' Kim during Halloween by recreating several of her iconic looks, another pop powerhouse by the name of Rihanna has come forth to send praise to Queen B and her thoughts on the rapper's longlasting legacy are absolutely incredible.

When speaking about her biggest fashion influences in the latest issue of Vogue Paris, Rih made sure to cite Kimmy. "Powerful, creative, without any taboos, Lil Kim has pushed the limits like no other black artist," she told the magazine. "Her world is colorful, fun, pop, rich and coded. She has fun." Unlike many of today's stars, who fail to pay tribute to the pioneers before them, the pop titan paid props to the iconic rapper and there's just something gratifying about seeing testimonial like: "I am happy to see a phenomenon like [her] in my life."

Rihanna also listed names like Tina Turner, Jane Birkin, Princess Diana, Michelle Lamy, Patricia Field, Elizabeth Taylor and, of course, her mother, Monica Fenty, as additional inspirations.
