Camila Cabello On Her Fifth Harmony Exit: 'I Don't Like To Ruin The Dream'

January 4, 2018

If you don't know by now, Camila Cabello does not like to talk about her sudden departure from Fifth Harmony and the latest example of her least favorite topic arrived via Rolling Stone when the outlet spoke with the star behind-the-scenes of our Hot 99.5 Jingle Ball show.

In between talk of her forthcoming solo album and immigrant past, the budding solo star answered questions about her 5H exit backstage of Washington D.C.'s Capital One Arena. "A lot of my fans were, or are, fans of the group," she told the magazine, losing her typical perky energy. "I don't like to ruin the dream. They believed in something that's beautiful. I'm sure with One Direction, too, nobody really saw behind the scenes. You just see the dream."

It's nice to see Cabello talk of the group with such positivity, but you'd think that one comprehensive and detailed answer about her exit from the pop act might just hault all future questions on the matter. Expect the starlet to bring her solo pop star quest full circle when she drops her debut album, Camila, on January 12.
