SZA Brings Her 'Broken Clocks' To The 2018 Grammy Awards

January 29, 2018

SZA lost all the awards that she was nominated for during Sunday night's (January 28) 60th annual Grammy Awards, but the R&B crooner made sure to soak up the big night when she took the stage to perform "Broken Clocks" at Madison Square Garden.

For her performance, the 27-year-old brought her smooth R&B aesthetic to the Big Apple stage and it proved that she was still a winner despite her major losses. Backed by a live band and eight backup singers, SZA stood in front of a projection, before bringing her swag and the mid-tempo hit to the front row pit audience. SZA was the most nominated woman of the evening, but unfortunately, lost in the Best New Artist, Best R&B Performance, Best R&B Song, Best Rap/Sung Performance and Best Urban Contemporary Album categories. "I'm a really like, shy person, like I don't really leave the house or like, do anything other than I know," the R&B singer previously told E! News' Ryan Seacrest ahead of the big show. "If you notice, I'm literally saying like 10 words per like 30 seconds. I'm thinking really slow. As long as I just think slow, speak slowly, I'll survive. I am enjoying it. My mom and my granny are here with me."
