We still have a long way to go before Beyoncé returns to the stage for her rescheduled 2018 Coachella set, but the pop titan knows when and how to drop crumbs to hold us over until her highly-anticipated return. Just take a listen to her surprise remix of "Sweet Dreams."

On Wednesday (February 21), Bey dropped a brand-new version of the 2009 hit, which ears the pop dance cut sent into a world of sparkling minimal production. As per the new song credits, the revamp of the track was worked on by someone named IDS. "Sweet Dreams" appeared on I Am... Sasha Fierce, which also included hits like "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)," "If I Were a Boy" and "Halo." Click here to buy the new version of "Sweet Dreams" on iTunes and scroll on below to revisit the original.

In related Beyoncé news, it seems like fans might hear the chart-topper sing a new tune for the upcoming remake of The Lion King if Sir Elton John has it his way. John, who is reuniting with his former Lion King soundtrack collaborator, Tim Rice, will return to the studio to record a new track to close out the film. "They need to have a new end credits song," he told The Sun via NME. "There's going to be four of our songs in the film, from the original: "Can You Feel The Love Tonight," "Hakuna Matata," "I Just Can't Wait To Be King" and "Circle of Life."

"And then there will be an end, closing song, and we've been speaking to Beyoncé’s people and hopefully Tim and I and her can cook up something," he continued. While Bey will voice the character of Nala, Donald Glover is scheduled to voice the character of Simba. The Lion King remake is set to be released in 2019.
