In honor of Hollywood's biggest night, Miguel took to the 90th annual Academy Awards on Sunday night (March 4) alongside Coco star, Bernal, and Natalia Lafourcade to perform their nominated "Remember Me," and it was an eye-popping showing of Mexican culture.

For the church-fronted set, which was introduced by Mexican star Eugenio Derbez, the performance started off on a simple note with Bernal, offering the crowd a stripped-back version of the number. In efforts to emphasize the Mexican culture in the film, it quickly turned into a neon-filled explosion of colors, dancers, and Día de Muertos symbolism as Miguel and Lafourcade took the stage. Earlier in the evening, Miguel spoke to Ryan Seacrest about the significance behind Coco's nominations. "For a movie like this, knowing that it's representing the Latin population, and being of Mexican descent, it's incredibly meaningful, man," he said. "So yes, I do know how much it means and I want to represent for all the Latinos out there. I really, really do. I'm honored. I'm honored," he explained. "It's a beautiful number and I couldn't think of any better reason to be here at the Oscars or any better song. I'm just happy that Pixar was welcoming me to sing the song and we're here now."

Among the other performances to be part of the 90th annual Academy Awards include sets by Sufjan Stevens, Common and Gael García Bernal for their Best Original Song nominees. Click here for an up-to-date list of winners from the annual Hollywood affair.
