Following in the footsteps of Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani is reportedly set to launch her very own Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood's Axis Theater, a source close to Us Weekly revealed.
Over the weekend, Stefani took to La Lopez's "All I Have" show and shared a backstage moment with the pop titan. "Your Vegas show was so good!" she said of Lopez in the caption of the photo, adding the hashtags #eyecandy and #inspired. "She went to the show last night to check out the venue she’ll be playing," the source told the magazine of Stefani's visit. "She was dancing the whole night!"
Sin City has turned into a mecca for millennial-geared pop star residencies after Spears landed in Vegas in late 2013. At the end of her "Piece of Me" residency, Miss American Dream bested fellow Planet Hollywood resident performer Lopez for having the highest-grossing show at the venue. Lopez previously held the record of $1 million in revenue for her residency show from August 13, 2016.
If announced, Stefani will also join upcoming Vegas performer Lady Gaga, who is set to take over the MGM Park Theater at the end of this year. Mother Monster's residency will extend to 74 shows, with the possibility of a run extension. Late last year, Variety reported that her Vegas deal was worth $100 million, with Gaga racking up over $1 million per show.
