Ariana Grande Returns To The Spotlight To Perform At March For Our Lives

Ariana Grande has kept a low profile in recent months to complete work on her new album, but the 24-year-old pop star did make a rare appearance on Saturday (March 24) to join the March for Our Lives movement in Washington D.C. 

Rocking a newly platinum 'do, Grande took to the movement to perform "Be Alright" in an oversized grey sweatshirt with the rally's logo on the front. It was a fitting move, considering the track's lyrical content, and the fact that the Dangerous Woman promotional single was released almost two years ago to the date of the protest. "This is for these brilliant students here today that are leading this march," the singer told the crowd. "To everybody participating, thank you so much for fighting for a change, and for love and safety and for our future. I love you all so much. Thank you."

Grande, of course, is no stranger to tragedy as the pint-sized pop star was at the center of madness after last May's Manchester concert bombing, which saw a man detonate a device at the end of her show while attendees were attempting to exit the venue. After the traumatic experience, the singer has been trying to recover and has put her mind into her new album. In early March, TMZ reported that the album was complete and includes production credits from Pharrell and Max Martin. Sources close to the singer also revealed that the fourth studio LP is much more "personal" than her previous efforts as she was involved in penning every single track on the project. Songwriting is a new venture for the pop star but the final product seemed to be impressive, at least that’s based on the feedback she received during a recent wrap meeting with Republic Records execs and her manager, Scooter Braun.
