7 Ways Beyonce's 'I Am... Sasha Fierce' Album Spoke For All Women

Beyoncé has been a mega entertainment force from the very minute that she first stepped on to a stage as a child. From day one, there was no denying her star power.

Getting her start in the industry as part of the group Girls Tyme, to then moving on to Destiny’s Child, and eventually going solo, Beyoncé worked extremely hard to be the Queen Bey that she’s now known as. Throughout her career, Bey has released six No. 1 albums. They are Dangerous In Love, B’Day, I Am… Sasha Fierce, 4, Beyoncé and Lemonade. And she’s not even close to being finished. Bey is just getting started!

Though all of her previously released projects were incredible in their own individual ways, we must say that I Am… Sasha Fierce was one of those albums that we’ll remember for all of our lifetimes. Why? It’s because Bey introduced us to an entirely new alter ego of hers and we quickly became obsessed with her. Sasha Fierce was a no-nonsense, straight shooter who always commanded attention and respect whenever she stepped on the scene.

In a previous interview with Oprah about I Am… Sasha Fierce, Bey described her alter ego to the media mogul. "It's kind of like doing a movie. When you put on the wig and put on the clothes, you walk different," Bey said. "It's no different from anyone else. I feel like we all kind of have that thing that takes over."

Then, Bey recalled how Sasha was summoned. "Usually when I hear the chords, when I put on my stilettos. Like the moment right before when you're nervous," she continued. "Then Sasha Fierce appears, and my posture and the way I speak and everything is different."

However, just a few years ago, Beyoncé shocked the world when she confirmed that she murdered Sasha. Yes, yes… we know. How sad. "Sasha Fierce is done. I killed her," Bey proud admitted in a previous interview with Allure. "I don't need Sasha Fierce anymore, because I've grown and now I'm able to merge the two."

2018 marks the 10th anniversary of Beyonce’s iconic album that introduced us to such a phenom – one who was equally as phenomenal as Bey.
