'Friday' Singer Rebecca Black Is All Grown Up And... Wow

By Dave Basner

April 18, 2018

Back in 2011, you couldn't get to a weekend without hearing Rebecca Black's "Friday" and having the earworm sneak its way into your head and take up residence until late on Sunday night. Within months of its March release, the video for the track was viewed 166 million times, but it also raked up 3.2 million dislikes. That didn't stop it from becoming incredibly popular and catapulting the then 14-year-old Black into stardom. She appeared on The Tonight Show, had a cameo in Katy Perry's "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) video, saw her song covered on Glee and even followed up the hit with a not-as-successful track called "Saturday."

While Black has still been working on music since her rise to fame in 2011, she hasn't been as much in the public eye. But during the past seven years, Rebecca has grown up and that's clear in the photos the now 20-year-old posts on Instagram.
