As much of a perfectionist as she is, Beyoncé still encounters technical mishaps every once and a while and her show in Warsaw, Poland on Saturday (June 30) was evidence of that. For the latest stop of her "On The Run II Tour" with JAY-Z, the pop titan was hit with a malfunction with her floating stage and needed some assistance from the show crew.
In a two-minute video of the incident, Bey can be seen hesitant to make her way down an emergency ladder in her thigh-high stiletto boots after her floating stage had a malfunction, leaving her stranded. According to fans at the show, it appeared that the elevated, moving platforms simply stopped working at the very end of the concert after the couple thanked their band, crew and sound team. The pair has a handful of dates left of the trek before they kick off the Stateside leg in Cleveland, Ohio on July 25. They'll continue on with the venture throughout the summer until it wraps up in early October in Seattle.
Just a few weeks ago, the dynamic duo released their joint album, Everything Is Love, which features nine tracks, including the lead single, "Apes**t." Prior to the surprise drop, JAY-Z had revealed to The New York Times that the idea of releasing a collaboration LP was put on the backburner a few years ago, so they could focus on 4:44, Jay's 2017 album, and Lemonade, Beyoncé's 2016 album. "We were using our art almost like a therapy session. And we started making music together, and then the music she was making at that time was further along," he said. "So her album came out as opposed to the joint album that we were working on. Um, we still have a lot of that music. And this is what it became. There was never a point where it was like, 'I'm making this album.' I was right there the entire time."
