Listen to Tom Petty's Previously Unreleased Song "Keep a Little Soul"

In advance of the massive, 60-song Tom Petty box set, An American Treasurecoming September 28, Reprise Record has released a previously unheard song Petty from 1982.

The song, "Keep a Little Soul," was originally written during Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers' sessions for their classic Long After Dark album. The accompanying music video includes never-before-seen footage of the band in the studio during that period.

The 60 songs in the collection consist of alternate versions of classic songs, rarities, historic live performances and deep tracks that showcase Petty at his best. Each period of the late-Rock and Roll Hall of Famer's career with The Heartbreakers is represented in the set.

The songs in the set were picked out by Petty's closest family and friends, including his wife Dana, his daughter Adria and Heartbreakers band members Mike Campbell and Benmont Tench.
