Harry Styles Celebrates One Direction's 8-Year Anniversary: Read The Tweet

Harry Styles was a day late, but the pop singer/songwriter took to Twitter on Tuesday (July 24) to honor One Direction's eight-year anniversary and the sentiments have Directioners in their feelings. 

"Wow, Eight years has passed. Thank you for all the love, thank you for all the support. Thank you for everything. I love you. H," the 24-year-old chart-topper told his 32.1 million followers. Styles message comes after his other bandmates, who also shared heartfelt messages on social media. “#8YearsOfOneDirection Where has the time gone!? Thank you so much to every single person who’s ever supported us. Big love!" Tomlinson wrote, joking, "And remember if it’s by one direction and it’s a banger I probably wrote on it."

Payne followed suit, writing, "#8YearsOfOneDirection what an incredible 8 years it’s been with my brothers! Thank you to all the fans that are still supporting and following our journeys. Love LP." Meanwhile, Horan continued the festivity, tweeting, "Wow! 8 years of amazing memories with the lads. Thank you so much for standing by us for all this time."

Styles recently wrapped up his first solo tour and shared some equally sweet sentiments with the crowd during the show. "If my memory serves me any good, on January 14th of 2014 was the first time I walked into this building," he told the crowd on July 14. "I walked through that tunnel over there, I walked in and the Eagles were sound-checking. I walked in and I've never heard anything so sweet in my entire musical life and since I walked into this room I've always wanted to play it."

"I'm gonna go away for a little while and make some more music and then I'll see you very soon," he continued. "It's been an honor to play in front of you every night … and thank you for trusting me by coming to a concert at all. Thank you."
