Charlie Puth and John Mayer have a friendly relationship with one another and the latter put their playful dynamic on display with his reply to Puth's recent Instagram post, which was shared on Tuesday (August 21) and spotted by popular account @commentsbycelebs.
After the 26-year-old took to the social media platform to share a selfie and admit that he had "a fever of 100.1" ahead of his Arizona show, Mayer had some sassy thoughts to send to the pop star. "I'm sorry to hear that man. Also shout out 100.1 for always playing TODAYS HOTTEST HITS," he replied to the post, which has garnered over 760,000 likes. Thankfully, the crowd at the Ak-Chin Pavilion did their part in making the star feel a little better. "You got me through it tonight! Thank you Arizona," he wrote on Twitter after the show. Puth is in the middle of his "Voicenotes Tour," which features Hailee Steinfeld as the opening act and has seven dates left before it makes its way to Asia for an international leg and wraps in late November.
In related Puth news, Rolling Stone recently published a feature on the pop talent, where he admitted that he was intent on making sure that his sophomore album, Voicenotes, prevailed in comparison to his 2016 debut, Nine Track Mind. "The only way to grow and become better, and I’m still in the process of becoming better, is to work with people," he explained. "I'm never going to be stingy and pledge only to work with myself. People's minds are extraordinarily different I wanted to be inspired by different people."
