Nicki Minaj will not stand for the disrespect of TV's living greats.
During Thursday's (September 6) episode of Queen Radio, the "Chun-Li" rapper vowed to donate $25,000 to ex-actor Geoffrey Owens — the man once known as Elvin Tibideaux on The Cosby Show — after he was "job-shamed" when an image of him bagging groceries at a local Trader Joe's began to circulate online.
"They took a picture of Geoffrey Owens and put this muthaf***in' man on the muthaf***in' internet while he was f***in' baggin' up some f***in' groceries to feed his muthaf***in' family," Minaj raged. "I persona lly want to donate on behalf of Queen Radio $25,000 to Geoffrey Owens today. You know why? Let me tell you something. This man is a whole f***in' legend in these streets."
Minaj's gracious offer comes days after the 57-year-old spoke to Good Morning America about the scandal, in which he revealed the derision became so intense that he quit his day job. "I was really devastated," he said of the embarrassment.

However, his humiliation was short-lived as Owens began receiving messages of sympathy and love from people across the world.
"The period of devastation was so short because so shortly after that, the responses my wife and I started to read - literally all over the world," he added. "Fortunately, the shame part didn't last very long."
Celebrities like Chris Rankin and Terry Crews were also among the crowd to voice their support for Owens on social media by recounting times they, too, have had to work part-time positions in between gigs.
Tyler Perry even invited Owens to join OWN's successful drama The Haves and the Have Nots — he has since accepted a recurring role and will appear on 10 episodes.
