Mac Miller’s Last Instagram Live Video Shows Rapper Happy, Making Music

Mac Miller's last Instagram Live video before his untimely death shows the rapper doing what he loved most: making melodies.

Less than 24 hours after the "Self Care" rapper's passing on Friday (September 7), an Instagram fan account consecrated to the late musician has leaked a 15-minute video of what could be the last known footage of the MC before he died.

In the clip recorded Thursday (September 6), the 26-year-old is smiling and looks delighted while interacting with fans via Instagram Live as he makes music at his keyboard. “I love how comfortable I am making a beat on Live,” Miller says while playing the instrument.

Miller was found shortly before noon Friday at his San Fernando Valley home, where a Los Angeles coroner's department pronounced him dead at the scene of a suspected overdose.

After conducting a sweep of the Swimming musician's residence, local authorities told TMZ Saturday (September 8) that Miller's place may have been cleaned of pill bottles, illegal drugs, and other drug paraphernalia that would offer clues of what led to his death and that only a trace of "white powder" was found inside.

As we reported, Miller spent his final night watching a football game with friends. In the wake of his passing, celebrities and musicians alike responded with words of love and mourning in Miller's memory.

Miller's former girlfriend of two years, Ariana Grande, later broke her silence with a touching tribute picture of her ex-boyfriend on Instagram.

The "So It Goes" artist's mother, Karen Meyers, also shared a sentimental photo remembering her late son the day after his death. In response to the terrible news, Miller's family provided the following statement:

Malcolm McCormick, known and adored by fans as Mac Miller, has tragically passed away at the age of 26. He was a bright light in this world for his family, friends and fans. Thank you for your prayers. Please respect our privacy. There are no further details as to the cause of his death at this time.
