Halsey has G-Eazy's back. Following the death of the "No Limit" rapper's close friend Mac Miller, Halsey told TMZ she's looking out for her on-again boyfriend.

As previously reported, Mac was found dead in his San Fernando Valley home on Friday (September 7) after an apparent overdose. The topic hits close to home for the "Him & I" singer, who preached about the importance of keeping good people around you when asked if she felt "celebrities have a hard time finding friends that can say 'no' to help mitigate these type of behaviors?"

"I think any kind of person, celebrity or not, feels like they're bothering people when they talk about their problems," she responded. "So you make sure you have good people around you who won't make it feel like you're bothering them." As for if she's that person for G-Eazy, the "Bad At Love" singer said, "I'm definitely his person."

Back in May, Halsey was with G-Eazy when he was arrested and charged with assault, drug possession and resisting arrest in Sweden. The 29-year-old rapper later apologized for his actions on Instagram. "Grateful & blessed to be free & safe. Happy to be in Copenhagen tonight doing what I love most," he wrote. "Embarrassed & apologetic beyond words about the incident, but above all I'm so f**king grateful they let me go, craziest experience of my life, awful night with a lot of bad luck and some even worse decisions but like I said I'm grateful as f**k to be a free man, back on tour performing for the fans."

Today is a bad dream. Thank you Mac. For being a visionary. A smiling, laughing, kindhearted individual. Thank you for being the soundtrack to my high school years. For giving me songs I knew every single word to and screamed at the top of my lungs in my first car the year I got my license. Thank you for giving me punchlines and inside jokes with my best friends. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being such a good friend to Gerald. For making millions of people happy even when you were suffering. Check on your friends. Please. Call them. Tell them you love them. Be a resource that comes with no judgment. Let your friends unfold without feeling like they are burdening you. Rest easy, Mac. We love you so so so very much.
