Watch a Woman in a Wheelchair Take on Slayer Mosh Pit

A lot of men over the years have wanted to take their mothers-in-law into a mosh pit, but one guy probably had a different reason than most.

The man behind the mayhem in thrilling footage from a recent Slayer concert in Nampa, Idaho, insists he's not criminally insane and that for his wheelchair-bound mother-in-law, this was about making a dream come true.

He says his wife's mom is a longtime metal head, and despite years of listening to the records, she had never dared get caught in a mosh. With Slayer's impending retirement, this seemed might be her last chance to see a show from the eye of the metalstorm. So they made the most of it.

"I took my mother-in-law to the Slayer farewell tour as she is an old metal head," reads the description in the video on YouTube. "She had never in all her years been into a mosh pit. I feel everyone should experience it at least once, so I took her in her wheelchair and asked a couple of big guys to help me keep her safe and off we went. She had the best time of her life."

Fan-filmed video of the occasion certainly makes it look like she's having a blast. You'd think she was the mayor of the pit with they way she shakes hands and high-fives people on the side as her son-in-law pushes her around the circle, flanked by dozens of reveling headbangers.

While mosh pits have a reputation for being violent, most metal fans will tell you the pit often looks more brutal than it is; the real hazard is that with so many people flying around, the pit is unpredictable.

But as you can see, once people understood what was happening, nobody was getting in the way of that war ensemble.

Keep rockin', ma!
