Cardi B is back in her element.

The rapper hit the 2018 Global Citizen Festival in New York City on Saturday night (September 29), where she took the stage to perform a few fan-favorite hits. Among the tracks she delivered during her live set included the flossy anthems “Bodak Yellow” and “Drip” to her red-hot tell-offs “Be Careful” and “I Like It.”

The 25-year-old, who had yet to head a major gig in the United States since giving birth to her daughter Kulture Kiara Cephus on July 10, admitted to being apprehensive during last night’s showcase after experiencing some technical difficulties going into her song “She Bad,” telling the crowd, “I’m nervous. I’m sweaty. I had a nervous breakdown but it’s alright though ‘cause I’m here trying to save the world.”

With motivation and good energy from the audience, Cardi eventually found her rhythm and persevered to give a blazing presentation for all of those in attendance at the annual free-ticketed musical festival.

The in-demand MC last stormed the stage as a surprise special guest during Migos and Drake’s Madison Square Garden show in August.

Given the Grammy-nominated star’s down-to-earth demeanor, we can only imagine how much it meant to perform back in her home state, and especially for such a good cause as the Global Citizen organization encourages people to uplift their local communities as well as the wider world.
