Kanye West clearly has a lot of time on his hands these days.

After delaying the release of his album Yandhi, which he previously stated would drop on September 29, Ye spoke to TMZ on Monday (October 1) about his plans for the future, which include him actively trying to set up a meeting between Colin Kaepernick and Donald Trump. “I’ve been calling Colin this morning, reaching him so that I can bring Colin to the White House and we can remove that ‘sons of b*tches’ statement and we can be on the same page,” West said.

West's idea to have the two men meet up comes after Trump's criticism of NFL players kneeling during the national anthem, a protest that was sparked by Kaepernick in response to police brutality and racial injustice in America. Trump first attacked the movement and its participants at a rally in 2017 when he called for NFL owners to “fire” any player who takes a knee during the national anthem. He additionally referred to the protesting players as “sons of b*tches."

Last month, after Nike announced that Kaepernick had been chosen as the face of their 30th anniversary "Just Do It" campaign, Trump told the Daily Caller that Nike's ad sent "a terrible message." He also tweeted: "What was Nike Thinking?"

West has recently been kicking his support of Trump into high gear, wearing Make America Great Again hats any chance he gets. He additionally went on a pro-Trump rant after his Saturday Night Live performance on Saturday (September 29).

"It’s so many times that I talk to a white person about this, and they say, ‘How could you support Trump? He’s racist.’ Well if I was concerned about racism, I would have moved out of America a long time ago. We don’t just make our decisions off of racism. I’ma break it down to you right now: If someone inspires me and I connect with them, I don’t have to believe in all they policies.,” he said while wearing a MAGA hat.

West then shared a pro-Trump Instagram photo of him wearing his MAGA hat, which he captioned: "This represents good and America becoming whole again. We will no longer outsource to other countries. We build factories here in America and create jobs. We will provide jobs for all who are free from prisons as we abolish the 13th amendment. Message sent with love."
