Why Justin Bieber & Hailey Baldwin Don't Think They're 'Officially' Married

Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin have taken us through quite a loop with their whirlwind wedding, and now, it's being said the newlyweds don't even consider themselves a married couple.

According to new reports from TMZ, while Bieber and Baldwin did, indeed, commit themselves under the law, it's the approval of the man upstairs that determines their union is for real. Even though a preacher already officiated their secret union, sources say the 24-year-old singer and runway model don't believe they're "officially" married since they've yet to give their vows under the eyes of God.

With that, the twosome is supposedly looking to cement their courtship with a church ceremony… but we'll have to wait a while. Albeit unconfirmed, the site hints that a Bieber-Baldwin wedding could happen as early as next year in either upstate New York or Ontario, Canada.

After much speculation, TMZ confirmed on Tuesday (October 2) that JB and HB tied the knot on September 13, the date the lovebirds were initially rumored to have wed after images showed them entering a marriage license courthouse in New York City the same day. PEOPLE, however, was the first to break the exclusive on their flash nuptials.

As we previously reported, the duo, who announced their engagement back in July, married without a prenup as insiders stated Bieber is "so in love [with Baldwin] he doesn't see the need for one."
