The 'breathin" singer's tour announcement came hours after she hinted that she plans to release a new album before the end of the year. "i love sweetener [so much]," she wrote before adding, "but yeah i'm v excited for dis next one too." *Cue the floodgates of fans questions.* "Is it still coming before 2019," one fan wrote, to which the "breathin" singer coyly responded: "hehehe idk." A second fan then asked "does it have a name / title yet ????," and Ariana simply said, "yes."
Ariana's teasing didn't end there, she also tweeted that she has no plans to "end [the] sweetener era too soon," saying, "we just gonna have both [albums] at once if u down." She then alluded to her recent break-up with Pete Davidson and the death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller being the reasons she chose to release another project in 2018. "how u think i survived these 2/3 months," she wrote after a fan praised her for making in an album in such a short amount of time following the August release of Sweetener.
She additionally hinted that she may combine the Sweetener tour with and her unnamed album.
