Earlier this week, Ozzy Osbourne was hospitalized in Los Angeles after contracting multiple staph infections in his hand that resulted in two thumb surgeries. The Prince of Darkness was forced to cancel the final North American dates of his No More Tours 2 farewell tour, but he wants his fans to know he's fully recovered now.

The Black Sabbath frontman recently gave his fans a video update to thank them for their "concerns" and assure them that he's feeling much better.

“My thumb is fully recovered now. I am looking forward to seeing you all this New Year’s Eve at the Forum with Ozzfest. It’s gonna be great. Be there," he said before declaring "I need to rock and roll for you!"

While being treated for his infection, the rock icon didn't realize the severity of his condition.

“I didn’t feel sick, so I was cracking jokes. The doctor said, ‘I don’t know if you realize, Mr. Osbourne, this is a very serious problem you have,'” he recalled to Rolling Stone.

After an examination, the doctors concluded that there wasn't one, but three different staph infections, all in his thumb and one that spread to his middle finger.

“They cut all this stuff out. Even with the numbing stuff, it was agony,” Ozzy explained. “It wasn’t pus, but it was the stage after pus, when it gets in the blood and goes in your body and f**king kills you.”

“It may sound f**ked up what I’m saying to you, but [the doctor] was really concerned about checking my blood,” he added.

Ozzy rescheduled the tour dates he missed and will play make-up shows next summer.
