Pete Davidson Evidently ‘Unfazed’ By Ariana Grande’s Shady Subtweet

Pete Davidson isn't pulling any punches — or punchlines — when it comes to his much-talked-about breakup with Ariana Grande.

Earlier this week, the pop star appeared to throw shade at her ex-fiance for using their split as comedic material in a promotional video for tonight's episode of SNL. Despite the backlash from Ari and her army of fans, the 24-year-old funnyman isn't pulling his joke, as previous reports have insinuated.

“It’s completely untrue that Pete got a skit about Ariana pulled from this weekend’s show,” an insider close to Davidson told PEOPLE. “Anyone who knows SNL knows it’s still in the writing process even today, and no one knows what’s going on until dress rehearsal. Pete has always talked about his life on the show, and Ariana knows that. That’s where she met him in the first place.”

The source added: "Pete’s unfazed. It’s true they’re not in agreement about things after the breakup. A lot of people thought he was the wild card in the relationship, but that’s not true. Pete has and will always joke about his life, with or without her.”

The controversial clip in question shows Davidson quipping how he's "0 for 3" in failed engagements after musical guest Maggie Rogers politely turns down his proposal — clearly mocking his broken engagement with Ari.

After noticing the video, the songstress posted this (since-deleted) subtweet: "For somebody who claims to hate relevancy u sure love clinging to it huh?"

"She wasn't amused by Pete's jokes at all," an insider told E! News of Ari's reaction. "They made an agreement that they would not address their relationship or discuss it after they split up. He violated that agreement and it really hurt her. She knew he would see her tweet."
