Cardi B paid a surprise visit to her old elementary school. The "Thru Your Phone" rapper recently took a trip to New York City's Washington Heights district to surprise a school full of youngsters over at P.S. 128 Audubon.
The 26-year-old star attended the neighboorhood school when she was just a youngin' herself between first- and third-grade. According to TMZ, who broke the news of the Bronx native's visit on Saturday (November 24), Cardi made her unexpected arrival during lunch period, where a crowd of excited children rushed the emcee for a picture.
The sentimental moment was especially meaningful for the Invasion of Privacy lyricist, who snapped a selfie with her favorite first-grade teacher, Yvette Coporan, who still teaches at the institution that specializes in serving immigrant families.

The warm reunion is Cardi's latest act of giving back to those who supported her. Earlier this week, she dropped more than $600,000 on her mom's dream house in New York — a two-story house complete with a built-in gym, a fancy basement, and a fireplace.
“This is the happiest day of my life," Cardi said in a video of her touring the property. "Last year, I was so thirsty to buy my momma a home, and I could only afford a house that cost six hundred thousand and you know, we live in New York, so cribs that look like that look like s**t."
