Lin-Manuel Miranda is making the rounds to promote Mary Poppins Returns and part of that promotional circuit included a recent stop by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Aside from discussing his year-end endeavors, the Broadway extraordinaire also showed off his musical skills by teaming up with the late-night host to recap some of the biggest songs of 2018.

During a five-minute segment, Fallon and Miranda took to the performance area up to sing a live medley of some of the huge smashes of the last year, but they added a holiday twist to the mix. Back by The Roots, the pair worked with the recognizable melodies and delivered brand-new lyrics to the tunes about Christmas cards, Secret Santa exchanges, Hanukkah and more. From Migos' "Stir Fry," Ariana Grande's "No Tears Left to Cry" and Cardi B's "I Like It," the performance was a full-blown spectacle that made its way to the studio audience, with the hosts singing the outro amongst the viewers while fake snow fell from the ceiling.

Elsewhere during the appearance, Miranda announced that The Tonight Show will trek down to Puerto Rico for a January 15 broadcast to focus on hurricane recovery efforts. The episode will also feature a special performance from Miranda and the Hamilton cast, who will be performing the award-winning musical at the University of Puerto Rico next year from January 8 to 27. "Our goal is to raise as much as we can for the arts, artists and arts organizations still recovering from Hurricane Maria. That's the plan," he said during the appearance.
