Two New Beyoncé Albums Seemingly Leaked Overnight & People Are Freaking Out

This is not a drill. I repeat, this is not a drill. 

Last night (December 20), the world literally stopped as not one, but two Beyoncé albums seemingly dropped on multiple streaming services. The 10-track albums, titled Back Up, Rewind, and Have Your Way, were released under the alias "Queen Carter," and as expected, people freaked all the way out. 

Now, before you rush out of this article to check the songs out for yourself, let me be the first to tell you, they've already been removed. It appears that hackers were behind the surprise album release, and the "new" songs were actually old tracks by Bey, which fans were quick to point out. (Fun fact: one of the older tracks on one of the album's was "Hey Goldmember" — talk about the ultimate Bey throwback) 

While Queen Bey has yet to clarify what exactly happened, the assumed hack came just hours after "new music" from SZA (that was also released under an alias) also dropped online. The president of her label Top Dawg later confirmed that the songs were in fact old, unreleased tracks that were posted without the label or SZA's permission. "There is no new SZA album out," he tweeted. "Old songs were stolen and leaked. We are currently fixing the issue. Please feel free to continue enjoying Ctrl until the next album is ready."
