Gigi Hadid & Zayn Malik Reportedly Split Again: 'They’re Done'

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have reportedly called it quits again.

According to Us Weekly, the on-again-off-again couple finally pulled the plug on their three-year relationship, which included a brief breakup last year "They’re done," a source explained. "They could get back together, but it’s over for now." A second insider added that the 23-year-old model "tried hard to make it work," but the former One Direction member has "a lot of his own issues that she couldn’t help him get through."

"She cut herself off from all her friends every time they were together," the second source continued. "She focused all her time and energy on him, but it just got to be too much."

Making the split even more official, in millennial standards at least, the "Pillow Talk" singer no longer follows Gigi on Instagram. And the model's last picture with Zayn on the social media platform was posted on October 21. 

Despite the seemingly clean break, an insider recently told E! News the two still remain in contact. "They are in different points in their lives right now and decided they needed the time to breathe apart from each other. They are still in touch and both hope that things will work out, but their relationship is always up and down," said the source. 

Split rumors have surrounded the once-power couple since November. Breakup speculation began when Zayn was not in attendance at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show to see Gigi walk the runway. The rumors only intensified last month after the two did not share any photos of each other over the holidays. 

Gigi and Zayn were first linked back in November 2015. However, the two split in March 2018, announcing their breakup with lengthy statements on social media at the time. However, their split lasted for about a millisecond (in Hollywood time at least) as the two were spotted kissing less than two months later.
