In November, Imagine Dragons dropped one of the best albums of the year in Originsand they're kicking off the new year by sharing some breathtaking visuals for one of the record's singles: "Bad Liar."

On Thursday (January 3), the band revealed a stunning lyric video for the emotional song. The animated clip shows a woman dragging a boat out to sea on her own. She endures a severe storm and eventually sinks into the ocean. Hued in blues and greens, the video's nautical theme pairs nicely with the song's story of a man struggling with his relationship falling apart. "It’s been a loveless year / I’m a man of three fears / Integrity, faith and crocodile tears," Dan Reynolds sings in the first verse before lamenting "I wish I could escape it / I don’t want to fake it / I wish I could erase it / Make your heart believe confessing" and ultimately confessing he's a "bad liar."

This past year was a big one for the Las Vegas-based alt rockers. Reynolds recently divulged that playing NYC's Madison Square Garden in June was one of his proudest moments. We can't wait to see what 2019 brings for the band.
