Hailee Steinfeld Responds After Seemingly Shading Niall Horan On Instagram

Hailee Steinfeld has recently been accused by Niall Horan fans after reposting a negative quote about dating "narcissists." 

Let's take a look back at where these "dating narcissists" posts came from. 

After New Years' Steinfeld's good friend and artist Julia Michaels posted on her Instagram story that 2019 she will no longer be dating narcissists after breaking up with Like Me Better artist Lauv before New Years. When Steinfeld re-posted Michaels Instagram story writing "God bless you Julia Michaels. Preach it," many people assumed she was talking about her recent breakup with Niall Horan. 

It didn't stop at that one repost. The 22-year-old actress and singer also reposted Michaels several quotes about dating a narcissist including, “narcissists are masters of manipulation” who apparently “believe they’re entitled to every shred of their partner’s attention, so they label anything else as ‘selfish.’” 

All of these reposts of course made Horan fans skeptical that she was referring to her recent breakup with their favorite directioner. However, Steinfeld reassured fans that she was definitely not talking about her recent situation. She had no intention of shading her ex going to Twitter she wrote: “No hidden messages my loves. Just reposted an interesting read that I’m sure some of y’all can relate to. Nothing but love!”

Mid-December, E! reported that Steinfeld and Horan were no longer seeing each other after dating for a few months. Their source revealed the reason for the breakup was because of Steinfeld's busy schedule. The two have been linked since February. 

Neither Horan nor Steinfeld follow each other on Instagram anymore.
