Sorry to break your little hearts Rihanna Navy, but Rih Rih's album is not done quite yet.

Despite Us Weekly reporting on Friday (February 1) that the "Work" singer's highly-anticipated ninth album was completed, Rihanna says it's still in the works.

After one of the 30-year-old singer's fan pages reposted the Us article with the caption, I'M ON THE F**KING FLOOR. LET'S GOOOOOI," Rih set the record straight, commenting: "It ain't done til it's done sis." As fans know, Rihanna spent the larger half of 2018 teasing her follow-up album to her 2016's Anti . Back in September, Rihanna admitted that new music was "coming " after a fan commented on her Instagram asking about the status of her music career. “I know, I know sis. I'm doing music," she replied. "Simultaneously doing lingerie, makeup, film, amongst a couple other things that I enjoy. When the music is ready, you won't have to ask for it. But it's coming. Just not today sis. I’m hype too tho, it can't come soon enough for me. #Navy4Life.”

Rihanna's teasing of new music continued in November when she seemed to allude that her album was coming sooner rather than later after she shared a video on Instagram Story of her in the studio. Now, the video left quite a lot to be desired, it was on mute so you couldn't hear her music, but she was bopping (dancing) and singing to it, which got fans pretty excited. Then in late December Rihanna confirmed that she'd be dropping new music in 2019 after an eager fan commented on an Instagram photo of her promoting her Fenty Beauty line. "But when is the album dropping Robyn?” they wrote, using the singer’s first name. “2019,” Rihanna replied.

It's been nearly year since rumors began circulating that Rihanna is working on two albums — one dancehall and one pop. In July, Rolling Stone  revealed that Rih Rih is "exploring her Caribbean roots," and working with some of the biggest names in dancehall and reggae to bring her fans an unforgettable 10-track album. “[Rihanna’s team] have, no lie, 500 records for this project [from] different producers and writers,” an anonymous dancehall producer told the mag. “They’re only choosing 10 records. They’ve been having writing camps and trying to keep them quiet for almost a year and a half now. I’ve been flying to Miami, flying to L.A., cutting records nonstop for this project.”

While details about the project are under lock and key, a second source told RS , “Every artist, every producer, every songwriter in Jamaica or of Jamaican descent has been working on [Rihanna’s album] and has little snippets of publishing or production credits on it."
