Cardi B Channels “Birth of Venus” and More at Grammys 2019: Best Reactions

Okurrr! Cardi B came out of her shell at the 2019 Grammys on Sunday, February 10. The five-time Grammy nominated rapper walked the carpet with on-again husband Offset and turned heads dressed in a shell and pearl ensemble.

The “I Like It” songstress’ ensemble was archive Thierry Mugler from the Fall 1995 Couture collection.

Reactions of the rapper's look ranged from resembling historic painting the Birth of Venus to literally coming out of her shell.

“@iamcardib literally came out of her shell this year, I Stan #cardib #GRAMMYS,” one red carpet viewer tweeted, while another added: “Cardi B looks like she’s being birthed from an oyster shell and I am here for it. #Grammys #Grammy2019.”

Cardi also turned heads by packing on the PDA with Offset. The duo were photographed kissing and embracing each other with their, ahem!, tongues on the red carpet ahead of the awards show.

Their outing marked the first time the two have attended a public event since Cardi announced their split on Instagram this past December. As previously reported, Cardi confirmed that she and Offset were giving their relationship another try after the rapper reportedly vowed "no more groupies."

Cardi is also set to perform at this year’s ceremony, joining a star-studded list that includes Miley Cyrus, Shawn Mendes and Lady Gaga. She is nominated for five awards on the night — among them Album and Record of the Year.
