Matthew Perry won over the country with his portrayal of "Chandler Bing" on the hit series Friends, but back then, off-screen, the actor was struggling. He spent years battling drug and alcohol addiction and in 1997 went to rehab. However, even though he overcame the addiction, his body is reeling from the effects of all the substance abuse and he was recently diagnosed with acute pancreatitis. In August, Perry had surgery to repair a gastrointestinal perforation, a life-threatening hole that forms in the stomach or intestine. He's since been keeping fans up to date, revealing that he spent three months in a hospital bed. Eventually, Matthew was able to go home, but a recent tweet has fans extremely concerned for him.
The mysterious message, his first tweet in a month, says, "I got kicked out of therapy today."

Immediately, Perry was flooded with thousands of comments from concerned fans:
Please feel better β€οΈ I hope youβre okay. You deserve love and happiness. You made me laugh when I was having rough times and always got me through it. Youβre a brilliant, talented man and some day I believe youβll see light in life. Addiction and depression will not rule you.

Reach out to someone who can give you immediate help, man. Let them help you get to a better therapist, a better way forward. But most importantly, help you in these early hours from a bad event.

Don't mean to preach, just truly love you as a fan who is grateful.
Thank you for giving me laughter when I needed it the most. I hope you are doing well and you got kicked out because you're doing better, not worse.

When Matthew noticed the response he was getting, he followed-up with a tweet that shed a little more light on what he was going through, writing, "Easy guys, it was just one session. Iβm back in therapy where I belong:)."
