Britney Spears may be getting back to work soon as more updates on her ailing father's health have emerged.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the pop star's father, Jamie Spears, is apparently "getting stronger every day" and "doing much better" after suffering a near-death incident last month which prompted Britney to press pause on her upcoming projects.

"Britney loves her career and her fans, so the decision to step away from her career wasn't easy, but she just wanted to be there for her dad, as he's always been there for her," an insider told the publication on Wednesday (February 13).

"She feels she owes him her life because he was there for her during her darkest hours," the source continued, assuring, "She is doing really well despite the circumstances and definitely plans to return to performing once she knows her father is in the clear. He still has a lot of recovering to do but really is doing much better.”

As previously reported, the "Slumber Party" musician was at work on her new album when she received the news of her father's life-threatening plight, prompting her to push back on her "Domination" residency in Las Vegas, which was set to kick off this month.

"I don't even know where to start with this, because this is so tough for me to say. I will not be performing my new show Domination," Spears wrote in a regrettable Instagram post. "I've been looking forward to this show and seeing all of you this year, so doing this breaks my heart."

As it pertains to Jamie's condition, ET reports the musician's father endured a ruptured colon that nearly took his life. Thankfully, after spending more than 28 days in hospitalization, it appears he's recovering smoothly as of late.

I don’t even know where to start with this, because this is so tough for me to say. I will not be performing my new show Domination. I’ve been looking forward to this show and seeing all of you this year, so doing this breaks my heart. However, it’s important to always put your family first… and that’s the decision I had to make. A couple of months ago, my father was hospitalized and almost died. We’re all so grateful that he came out of it alive, but he still has a long road ahead of him. I had to make the difficult decision to put my full focus and energy on my family at this time. I hope you all can understand. More information on ticket refunds is available on britneyspears.com. I appreciate your prayers and support for my family during this time. Thank you, and love you all… always.
