Halsey Is An Emo Queen In '11 Minutes' Video

Last week, Halsey, Yungblud and Travis Barker gifted us with the collaboration we didn't know we needed. In "11 Minutes" the pop star shows her darker side as she and her alt-rocker beau lament "I'm 11 minutes away and I have missed you all day/ I'm 11 minutes away, so why aren't you here?" while the blink-182 drummer keeps the beat.
On Thursday (February 21), the trio shared the song's video, and it's just as emo as the track itself. The clip is split up into five chapters that mirror the stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and finally acceptance. In each chapter, Yungblud finds himself in a race against time as a stop watch counts down from 11. Halsey has been in a terrible accident and he needs to get to her, but he never does. Meanwhile, Travis does what he does best: pounds the drum kit, on an empty city street.
“We don’t realize how much we need something until it’s taken away from us,” Yungblud said of the video in a statement. “We are so distracted and focused on what’s next, we can fail to see what is actually in front of us.”
As for working with Halsey and Travis? The English artist couldn't have been more stoked. "Working with Halsey and Travis was a f***ing dream – at the end of the day we're all rock kids," he gushed. "We grew up with a mutual adoration for the genre so it completely makes sense that we would come together and try to modernize it."
