Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman's daughter, Isabella Cruise, has opened up Scientology in a testimonial obtained by journalist Tony Ortega. The 26-year-old underwent intense training to become an auditor within the Church of Scientology. According to People, an auditor helps "other members through intense self-examination sessions with the help of an electronic device called the E-meter."

“I had so many reasons and excuses as to why I didn’t need to do it and how it just wasn’t right for me,” Isabella wrote in an email sent to other members of the church. “It turned out it was exactly what I needed. I dragged out the testing and correction, just made it through the drilling and then finally began my auditing adventure, and wow, I wasn’t prepared. This IS what I had been searching for. The missing piece. Suddenly everything began to make sense.”

“We all need to do this. It’s hard work. It’s a lot of effort. It’s a few meltdowns and running to the bathroom to have a mini-episode, but it is worth everything because you will get through," she continued. She then went on to thank her dad "for everything," as well as her paternal aunt, Cass Mapother, who is also a member of the controversial religion. “I would have drowned in my own problems if you hadn’t been there to sup [sic] me or get me through the preliminaries. It took a whole family and an org to get me here.”

Isabella's famous parents divorced in 2001. Though Cruise and Kidman rarely talk about their divorce or kids publicly, rumors have swirled for years that Kidman has a strained relationship with Isabella and her younger brother Connor Cruise. Many speculate it has to do with their association with Scientology. Back in November, Kidman addressed these rumors for the first time in an interview with Who Magazine:

They are adults. They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists and, as a mother, it’s my job to love them. And I am an example of that tolerance and that’s what I believe — that no matter what your child does, the child has love and the child has to know there is available love and I’m open here. I think that’s so important because if that is taken away from a child, to sever that in any child, in any relationship, in any family — I believe it’s wrong. So that’s our job as a parent, to always offer unconditional love.

Kidman and Cruise both fiercely protect their children's privacy, though neither has yet to make a statement about Isabella's leaked testimonial.
