2019 Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony - Show

Oops! Stevie Nicks confused her good friend Harry Styles as a member of another β€” albeit equally famous β€” boy band this week.

Styles, formerly of One Direction, did the honors of paying homage to the iconic "Dreams" singer during the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction on Friday (March 29) at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, where the 70-year-old was being celebrated once again β€” this time as the first woman to be inducted twice throughout her career.

After performing a four-song set, including classics "Edge of Seventeen," "Stand Back," and Leather and Lace," as well as "Stop Dragging My Heart Around," with assistance from Styles, Nicks reminisced backstage about how she became pals with the "Kiwi" singer, but made quite the hilarious mistake of referring to the 25-year-old as a member of *NSYNC.

"We met quite a long time ago actually. What I really loved about Harry was that when he decided to make a solo record from *NSYNC," Nicks said, later realizing her error as press members began to chuckle. "Sorry, I'm never going to live that one down, I know that. One Direction. I liked One Direction too," she joking corrected herself, adding that she admired how Styles deviated from One Direction's sound with his self-titled solo album in 2017.

β€œHe could have gone one or two ways: he could have made a serious pop record, which would have been less of a risk, or he could have made a rock and roll record and take a risk, and he did," Nicks went on, recalling the time she heard his material. "He just fits in with all of us."
