Ariana Grande is about to make some big deposits off "Thank U, Next."
The incredible success of Grande's fifth studio album, Thank U, Next, and its titular lead single has (finally) inspired the pop star to make the ultimate money move. On Tuesday (April 9), TMZ learned the "7 Rings" singer submitted an application to trademark the phrase "Ariana Grande Thank U, Next."
Per screenshots of the docs, dated April 2, 2019, and originally procured by E! News, the "Sweetener" songstress is apparently using her brand for a variety of bath and body products including "perfume, cologne, body lotions, bath gels, shower gels, body scrubs, body powders and body mist." Alas, Arianators can bathe like the queen herself.
The track that inspired it all, "Thank U, Next," released in November 2018. The record came to fruition after Grande broke off her four-month engagement to Pete Davidson the month before and became a chart success when it debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, making it Grande's first in her career. At the time, the music video for the tune held the record for garnering the most views on a YouTube video in 24 hours — a title which the musician has held until BLACKPINK's "Kill This Love" topped the achievement this week.
There's no telling when the 25-year-old will unveil the merchandise, but we're sure it'll do nicely with Grande's other line of smell-good products. As you know, the singer has previously released fragrance and beauty products with Ulta.
