The Raconteurs Share Cover Of Donovan's 'Hey Gyp (Dig the Slowness)'

Though The Raconteurs' upcoming album HELP US STRANGER is bound to be filled with rockin' earworms written by Jack White and Brendon Benson, there is one song on the new project that wasn't written by the band. It was written by Donovan. In 1965. On Friday (April 12), the supergroup shared their rendition of "Hey Gyp (Dig the Slowness)."
Though they keep the heart of the song true to the original, The Raconteurs give it their own spin — opting for an electric, percussive arrangement and muffled vocals.
"Hey Gyp (Dig the Slowness)" is the third offering off the new album, following "Sunday Driver" and "Now That You're Gone." HELP US STRANGER is slated for a june 21 release. Listen to the cover below.
