Ariana Grande has made it no secret that she is having a hard time performing, while attempting to maintain a healthy headspace.
Two days after sharing a quote about depression from Jim Carrey on her Instagram Story, the 25-year-old received a response from her longtime idol via Twitter. In the message, the Hollywood titan shared a quote from his teacher/friend Jeff Foster on the topic of deep rest. "I admire your openness. I wish you freedom and peace. I feel blessed to have such a gifted admirer," he also told the singer, adding, "Happy Easter!"
Grande, who once registered "jimcarreyfan42" as an AIM screen name while in elementary school, was overjoyed with the response and thanked Carrey for his advice. "I can't process this or breathe hold on," she responded. "Thank u so much for your kindness. I don't think u understand how much i adore u or what u mean to me. thank u for taking the time to share this w me. I can't wait to tattoo this tweet to my forehead."
Just last week, Grande admitted that she was emotionally depleted and even shared a "terrifying" scan of her brain, which depicted the areas that appeared to be affected by post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
.@ArianaGrande I read your lovely mention of me and things I’ve said about depression. A brilliant teacher and friend, Jeff Foster was OG on the “Deep Rest” concept. I admire your openness. I wish you freedom and peace. I feel blessed to have such a gifted admirer. Happy Easter! pic.twitter.com/BiMa6KHYb6
