We're just days away from the arrival of the next royal baby, but don't expect to see Meghan Markle posing for photos in full glam mere hours after giving birth. The freshman royal has chucked the handbook out the window and is doing things her own way for the birth of her first child. Though her sister-in-law Kate Middleton posed for photos outside the Lindo Wing with each of her three children, Meghan and Prince Harry have "taken a personal decision" to keep their baby's arrival much more private. Their decision comes, in part, because Meghan "felt sorry" for Kate after she had Prince Louis last April.
One of Meghan's friends spoke with Page Six, revealing Meghan had sympathy for Kate after watching her pose for photos so soon after giving birth to her third child. Coupled with Harry's distaste for the public frenzy surrounding the royal family, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will keep as much of their baby's arrival under wraps. While some believe they will announce when Meghan goes into labor, others believe they won't reveal any information until after the baby is born.
“They’re basically conducting the birth in virtual secrecy. I think it’s a bit foolish,” Duncan Larcombe, former royal editor at The Sun, told Page Six. “Harry absolutely hates being the subject of speculation, and this just shows his petulance to the media . . . it’s just a shame.”
Either way, it won't be long until Baby Sussex is here. Meghan's due date was reported to be in late April/Early May. Her mother, Doria Ragland, has arrived in England for the birth, as well. Once the baby is born, it's expected that the happy family will pose for photos on the grounds of Windsor Palace. The photos will eventually be released to the public.
