Halsey brought the fire to last night's concert.
The singer delivered a smoking-hot performance of her new track "Nightmare" for the first time onstage at the Minneapolis Armory in Minnesota on Monday night (May 20). At the event, Halsey wore blazing red tresses along with a white top and printed black pants as she rocked out to her angry girl empowerment anthem as concert-goers belted their hearts out in the crowd.
"Nightmare," which had its music video premiere last week, strips down the conventions of what it means to be female. On Twitter, the 24-year-old explained of the track: "Imagine getting onstage every night and seeing young women sweating mascara tears, lightning in their eyes, throwing elbows and raising fists, screaming till the veins in their necks raise under warm skin, and not being inspired by it. this song is about you, for you."
Halsey's new record is set to appear on her third studio album, which has yet been given a name but expected to release sometime this year and convey a louder sound, much like the LP's lead single.
As of yet, the recording artist is slated to continue her intimate Badlands and Hopeless Fountain Kingdom showcases at California venues in San Diego, Carson, and Mountain View from May 31-June 2, before her playing her final show at Wembley Stadium in the U.K.
