Billie Joe Armstrong's Side Project The Longshot Announces California Tour

Last year, Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong released an album with a new side project, The Longshot, that had fans a little on edge about the fate of his main band. After bluntly denying rumors that Green Day was breaking up (and telling anyone saying otherwise to shut the f**k up), Billie Joe did his thing with his other project. Late last year, he further assured fans that Green Day was well and good by mentioning they were working on new music, so knowing everything is good between him, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool, we can't help but get excited that The Longshot is teasing an announcement on Instagram.

The band's account shared a post that includes a photo of a bass drum with The Longshot logo on it, and a graphic with their song "Cult Hero" playing over it. "Little announcement comin this week from the ‘Shot" the caption reads, but what does it mean? Are they planning a tour? Could Billie Joe be writing new music for both Green Day and The Longshot? We'll just have to keep our eyes glued to social media and wait for the announcement reveal. For now, check out the teaser post below.
