Simple Creatures may have just released their debut EP at the end of March, but that's not stopping Mark Hoppus and Alex Gaskarth from teasing more new music.
On Friday (May 13), Gaskarth shared a hilarious post on IG that depicts himself and Hoppus as the famed old crotchety Muppet critics Statler and Waldorf, one giving a thumbs up while the other shoots a thumbs down. "Who’s about ready for some new Creatures then?" the caption reads, followed by: "Coming soon."
Though the news shouldn't come as too much of a surprise — the trash pop duo has already played a few new songs live and even announced the name of their sophomore EP — we were not expecting to get new tunes from the blink-182 and All Time Low supergroup so soon.
Check out the teaser post below.
So is the project the aforementioned second EP or something bigger? The two-piece previously mentioned to Rocksound that they had plans on releasing a full-length album.
“Album, yes,” Hoppus said. “When we first set out, we had enough music to put out a record but I don’t think we wanted to inundate people with that much music right off the bat. We wanted to put out some music [then] put out some more music later.”
We'll just have to wait and see what Simple Creatures have up their sleeves, but no matter the project we're excited to get more new music!
