More details are coming to light after Disney star Cameron Boyce tragically passed away over the weekend at just 20 years old.

In a statement from his family, it was revealed that "he passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated." Now, we are learning that the medical condition is reportedly epilepsy, according to TMZ. TMZ also reports that law enforcement sources say that they have characterized Cameron's passing as a "natural death," with the term "natural" referring to "conditions in the body which result in death."

Cameron was found by his roommate, who found him unresponsive, and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics who were unable to revive him. Boyce had recently moved into a place with fellow Disney stars Karan Brar (his JESSIE co-star) and Sophie Reynolds (from Disney XD's Gamer's Guide to Pretty Much Everything). Neither Brar or Reynolds have spoken publicly about their friend's passing yet.

The Boyce family added in their statement about Cameron, "The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him."

His other JESSIE co-star, Peyton List who played his older sister on the show, penned a long emotional letter to him on Instagram, writing, "I can barely see my eyes anymore from crying so hard. Cameron, I love you with every ounce of me, and I thank you for the time I had with you, being in my life, and being my brother forever and always. There is a hole in my heart that will never heal left for you." She added towards the end, "Wish I could hug you one last time Cam. My heart is broken I've never hurt this bad. Your sister forever and always, Peyton."

Meanwhile, Skai Jackson, who played Boyce's little sister on JESSIE also penned an emotional notes, sharing many photos and videos from over the years. She wrote, "I am at a loss for words. I never thought in a million years I would be writing this. Cam, you were one of a kind. My heart will be forever broken," and later called him "God's best angel."
