Every week, Kanye West presents a Sunday Service that featured gospel renditions of famous songs, including his own; however, this Sunday the rapper decided to pay homage to a hero that's not in the hip-hop genre, as his choir sang reimagined versions of Nirvana songs.
As his wife Kim Kardashian captured on her Instagram story, the choir covered two Nevermind classics, changing the lyrics to incorporate mention of Christianity. The gospel version of "Come as You Are" included the lyrics “Just confess/ he’ll do the rest/ Christ is here," while the chorus of “Smells Like Teen Spirit” featured the line, “Let your light shine/ It’s contagious.”
Ye's love for Nirvana should come as no surprise. He's been known to sport Nirvana t-shirts in the past and sampled Cobain's solo acoustic demo "Burn The Rain" on his collaborative album with Kid Cudi, Kids See Ghosts.

During a recent visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Danny McBride revealed that West flew to his home in Charleston, South Carolina to discuss a potential project: Yeezy wanted the comedian to play him in a film about his life. We really hope someone makes this happen!
