Man Jokingly Picks Up Baby Alligator, Doesn't See Mama Gator Behind Him

Most people are smart enough to leave baby animals they encounter alone, unless the creatures seem to be injured or distressed. However, not everyone has this sense, though they can develop it very quickly. That's just what happens in a video that is sure to go viral on Twitter. It shows a man, seemingly on a golf course, pick up a baby alligator. As the tiny gator screams and tries to escape, the guy and whoever is filming him joke around - putting on Australian accents like Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin and saying things like "Crikey" and "Crocodile Dundee."
What they don't see is a much larger alligator charging at them. It's looks like the mama gator heard her baby making noise and was not too happy.

As always, there were also people who felt the video is fake:
the baby gator is real but the the alligator charging in is edited in. Unrealistic movement and the shadow isn't matching

@markbarresi45 the more and more I watch this man I think it’s 100% CGI things moving so unnaturally lol

No one else thinks that gator looks fake?

One amateur zoologist tweeted out why a gator would behave that way, making the scene even more scary:
A honking baby gator is one of the scariest sounds in nature. They are signalling ALL other gators in the area to help them, and they respond 9 times out of 10 and come running. Sometimes it's the mama. Sometimes it's just a random gator looking for easy meals.

Whatever is happening in that video, it's a good reminder to always leave wildlife alone.
