Ariana Grande performed her latest single "Boyfriend" live for the first time this weekend.
On Sunday (August 4), the singer gave her fans a special treat to close out Lollapalooza 2019 when she welcomed Michael Foster and Charles Anderson of Social House to the stage to sing their collaboration midway during the set at Grant Park, Chicago. Along with the live debut of her new bop with the American pop duo, Grande also performed fan-favorite hits like "No Tears Left to Cry," "Dangerous Woman" and "7 Rings" before wrapping her showcase with "Thank U, Next."

The surprise premiere comes just days after the 26-year-old pop star unveiled the team-up and its accompanying visual on Friday (August 2). Not to mention, much like the chemistry witnessed in the video, life appears to be imitating art for Grande and Foster.
According to a report from The Blast, sources told the celebrity gossip outlet that, in recent months, the music partners' professional relationship has evolved into something much more passionate. Specifically, the site indicated: "We're told the two stars have been seriously enjoying each other's company, and have quietly been elevating their relationship. However, they are far from boyfriend/girlfriend ... and are apparently just feeling things out."
While neither Grande nor Foster has commented on the gossip, the former did share her inspiration behind the song on Twitter, explaining, that the song "captures a common theme" of people wanting "to feel love but don’t want to define their relationship & have trouble fully committing or trusting or allowing themselves to fully love someone. even tho they want to."
