Letting bygones be bygones.
Demi Lovato sent Taylor Swift the kindest note congratulating her on the release of her new album, Lover. On Monday (September 2), the "Games" musician shared her support for the 29-year-old's new LP on her Instagram Stories when she posted a screenshot of her listening to Swift's song "Cruel Summer," calling it "a jam."
The compliments didn't end there, as Lovato proceeded to congratulate the "ME!" star on her success. “Life’s too short for women to not support other women.. especially when women release great music. Great job @taylorswift," the 27-year-old added.
Sure enough, Lovato's sweet words made their way around to the singer-songwriter, who responded to the powerhouse with nothing but gratitude. “This is so awesome & put the biggest smile on my face,” Swift wrote over a screenshot of Lovato's post. “Thank you @ddlovato.”

The artists' friendly exchange comes years after Lovato somewhat shaded her fellow pop star after Swift donated $250,000 to support Keshawith financial needs after she was denied a court junction to record new music in 2016 amid her ongoing legal battle with Dr. Luke.
"Take something to Capitol Hill or actually speak out about something and then I'll be impressed," Lovato wrote at the time. “Not everyone has 250k to just give to people. … At least I speak up about s--t that's uncomfortable to talk about rather than trying to be politically correct 24/7."
Amid the backlash, Lovato changed the course of the conversation, insisting women come together for "a real change and shift in society."
