Live television can be very exciting since you never know what might happen, and that's especially true for the news. As reporters deliver their stories, sometimes people will stand behind them and do something funny, but sometimes the only thing you need is the reporter to have a good laugh. That's just what happened for Los Angeles' KTLA reporter Sara Welch, who was reporting on a fatal car chase when she had a pretty unfortunate gaffe.
As she stood outside the Anaheim police station, Welch stated that she tried to contact the man who was killed in the pursuit but he was "unavailable for comment."

The clip was shared on Twitter by journalist Yasher Ali, who captioned it "When I say I nearly passed out from laughing." He didn't note when the report aired.
Commenters had a field day with the blooper, writing things like, "It would've been weirder if he actually gave a comment," "Well... that would certainly have been a scoop," and "At least they followed proper journalism protocol."
In a comment on a Facebook post of the video, Welch explained she had meant to say "the family of the man who died."
