Luke Bryan has shared his latest single "What She Wants Tonight," along with its official music video — and it has a big twist at the end.
"What She Wants Tonight" is all about a woman who ultimately gets the person her heart desires. Bryan sings in the chorus, "She don’t take no and I love that/ She gets what she wants/ And I get to be what she wants tonight." And in the official music video, a woman at a mansion party immediately gets the guy she's after — except she wasn't really after him. After some smooth flirting, she manages to rob the man of his valuables, which he has kept hidden in a secluded and very guarded room of the estate.
Luke Bryan tells iHeartRadio about his new song, "'What She Wants Tonight' is a song that I wrote at my house with John Knight, Ross Copperman and Hillary Lindsey, and I had been wanting to get together and write with all of them for some time now. And Ross came in and he had the track and that drum loop in the front kind of dialed in, and the second I heart it, it was just really, really infectious. Then we were able to really just put a great lyric with a high energy track. When we came up with the hook, 'She gets what she wants and I get to be what she wants tonight,' it just felt like something that could be playing on the radio and it felt like something that, that's what women wanna hear. You know, they wanna have a confident guy kind of singing to them in that way. And I hadn't been this excited about a song in some time."
Luke Bryan's "What She Wants Tonight" follows the country star's previous 2019 single "Knockin' Boots" and 2017 album What Makes You Country.
